Westminster resident Spencer Lee Leckron, Jr., 34, is facing a host of charges following a proactive stop conducted by deputies of a 2016 Nissan Rogue making an unsafe lane change.
A spokesperson from the Carroll County Sheriff's Office said that late last week, deputies on patrol stopped Leckron in the area of Route 140 and Cranberry Road, and a subsequent search by a police K9 determined that there were drugs inside the vehicle.
Investigators say that the search led to the seizure of 52 capsules of suspected heroin/fentanyl weighing 27.1 grams, and 8.6 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine.
Leckron was taken into custody without incident and charged on Wednesday with:
- CDS: Possession with intent to distribute;
- Possession of controlled paraphernalia for illegal manufacturing or distribution of CDS (not cannabis);
- Two counts of CDS: Possession of not cannabis.
No details about Leckron's bond info or next court appearance were released.
